Editor's Note: As someone who has lived in Florida forever, Florida isn't exactly the most gay-friendly place at the moment. While bigger cities may be fine, the overall climate feels super unsafe and welcoming. At the time of this publication, Governor DeSantis recently created anti-trans laws and many people have lost access to their life saving medications.

On a personal note, we have found that St. Petersburg is a queer-friendly place to visit, along with Orlando. We visited Key West, and while it has a reputation for being gay-friendly, we found it to be the opposite.
