Captain Underpants Movie Night Party | Sweet and Sour Popcorn Recipe
This has been an exciting week in Florida. Between stocking up for a potential hurricane, back to school chaos, and a busy calendar, it was a nice change of pace to celebrate at home with a movie night party. My son loves to help in the kitchen, and these movie night ideas delighted his taste buds! We mixed up a sweet batch of popcorn, snacked on crackers and cupcakes, and celebrated the upcoming Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie release!

We headed to Walmart to stock up on our movie night supplies including Pop Secret and Lance. Pop Secret has an unbeatable taste with better ingredients and inventive flavors while still being a FUN snack idea to celebrate our everyday simple joys with friends and family.

Lance offers flavorful, wholesome and filling snack ideas for on the go! They also have real peanut butter or real cheese between crispy baked crackers and no high fructose corn syrup. They have a variety of flavors and they are a good option to have on hand in your pantry.

As for the celebration, we were SO excited to enjoy the upcoming DVD release of Captain Underpants. We actually saw this movie in the theaters, and my son LOVED it! Cap U is perfect for a family movie night since it is fun for all ages, and I admit that Kevin Hart's voice makes me laugh no matter the character! He plays George and Ed Helms (one of my favorites since The Office!) plays Underpants and Krupp. Too funny!

Serve silly desserts! These cupcakes use cherry frosting and are topped with sour candy and fresh popcorn. It's a carnival-inspired snack that is a fun idea for a movie night dessert.

Let kids serve themselves. Take a break and let the kiddos mix it up on their own. That makes it more fun! You will never know what combination they could come up with!
