All supplies shown in this tutorial came from Michael’s.

To get started, you will need a 10” foam wreath form, 9’ of 2.5” ribbon – red with white and blue stars, a piece of 6” of 2.5” ribbon – red with white and blue stars, poppy flowers, hot glue gun with glue, and scissors.

Apply a 2” strip of hot glue to the wreath form, and attach one end of the ribbon, holding it down to secure.

I used my scissors to hold it down, so that I did not burn my fingers.

Once dry, apply a 2” strip of hot glue on top of 1” of the ribbon and 1” of the wreath form, and wrap the ribbon around and on top, overlapping the first strip of ribbon slightly.

Hold the ribbon down to secure until the glue dries. You can do this with the scissors so as not to burn yourself on hot glue.

Continue to wrap the ribbon around the wreath, slightly overlapping as you go.

Once you get to the end of the wreath, apply hot glue to hold the end of the ribbon in place, making sure that it ends in the back so that you don't see it.

Remove poppy flower from main stem (they are in bunches of 2-3 flowers. Arrange flowers on the front of the wreath until you get the desired look.

Pro tip: The stems will look sloppy in the back, so cover those with the 6” ribbon, attaching ribbon with hot glue.
