10 Cute Witch Halloween Costume Ideas

If you're looking for something cute and unique this year, why not dress up as a witch? Here are 10 witch costume ideas that are sure to turn heads.

  • Classic Witch: This costume is perfect if you want to keep things simple. All you need is a black dress, a pointy hat, and some black lipstick. To really sell the look, add a broomstick! Our Party City witch costumes were more celestial with silver glitter, but there were TONS of choices available!
  • Pink Witch: For a twist on the classic witch costume, try adding some pink to the mix! A pink dress or skirt with a black top and accessories will do the trick.
  • Good Witch: Not all witches have to be evil! Dress up as a good witch by wearing all white or light-colored clothing. Add a wand and some sparkly glitter to really stand out.
  • Bad Witch: if you're feeling extra naughty this year, dress up as a bad witch. Think dark colors, fishnet stockings, and lots of black eyeliner. The more sinister, the better! This theme is more of what our costumes were. We had fishnets, black lipstick and nail polish, and chunky black boots.
  • Girly Witch: If you want to add some feminine flair to your witch costume, try accessorizing with flowers, bows, and lace. A pretty pastel-colored dress would be perfect for this look.
  • Punk Witch: Give your witch costume a punk rock twist by adding some edgy details like studded belts and chokers. Go for dark colors and ripped clothing for an authentic punk vibe.
  • Zombie Witch: This costume is perfect if you're looking for something both spooky and stylish. Start with a classic witch costume then add some zombie makeup to create a truly unique look.
  • Fairy Tale Witch: Calling all book lovers! Some of our favorite fairy tales, like Hansel and Gretel and Snow White, inspire this costume idea. Dress up in all black then add on some fun props like candy apples or poisoned apples (fake ones of course!).
  • Witchy Woman: Pay homage to the '60s with this groovy witch costume! Think flowy maxi dresses, headbands, and lots of beads and jewelry. peace signs are optional but highly encouraged.

Whether you're looking for something cute or creepy, there's a witch costume out there for everyone! With Halloween just around the corner, now is the perfect time to brainstorm ideas for your own unique look. We hope these 10 ideas have inspired you to create a show-stopping costume that's sure to turn heads (and collect candy)! Happy Halloween!

Halloween Crafts For Witches

  1. Make a Witch's Hat out of Construction Paper
All you need for this craft is a black piece of construction paper, some scissors, and some tape or glue. Fold the paper in half and then cut out a triangle shape. This will be the witch's hat. Once you have the hat cut out, decorate it with glitter, sequins, or anything else you like. Then put some tape or glue on the bottom edge of the triangle and attach it to your child's head. Instant witch!
  2. Paint a Witch's Face on a Pumpkin
This is a great activity to do with the whole family. First, wash off your pumpkin and then let your child paint it however they like. To make things easier, you can pre-draw a witch's face on the pumpkin with a black Sharpie before painting. Once the paint is dry, put a candle inside the pumpkin and enjoy your homemade jack-o'-lantern.

With these three easy ideas, you're sure to have plenty of fun this Halloween season without spending a lot of money. So get creative and have fun! Here are a few other Halloween posts to help you find inspiration this year:
